I'm Ben Doerr, an engineering leader based in Crozet, Virginia. I spend most of my working hours building and running infrastructure — lately a lot of Terraform, AWS, and the odd bit of Go — and I like systems that are boring in production and fun to build.

Outside of work I'm usually behind a camera or working through a personal project just to learn something new; some of that shows up here as photo albums, project write-ups, and the occasional essay.
